Loch Palm Golf Course and its neighbour, Red Mountain Golf Course, are set in the lush tropical backdrop of Kathu. At these Phuket golf courses, a caddy is compulsory (and you will soon realise essential!) in order to enjoy your game in the heat and comfortably get around the course. Many people visit Phuket purely for the excellent golf facilities and these courses are a prime example of such excellent golfing facilities in Phuket.
For those who aren’t golf fanatics, other activities in the area include – the Flying Hanuman (a sky walk through the forest using zip-lines and bridges), jungle bungee jumping, roller ball zorbing, go karting and the Phuket Wake Park.

In my view the beach. Kathu is OK but the best places are: Promthep Cape (Laem Promthep), Big Buddha or Kata Rocks. Anywhere around the west / south side of Phuket island, Thailand.

The beer or larger costs around Kathu on Phuket island is: Domestic Beer (0.5 liter draught) is around 70 / 90.00฿ while Imported Beer (0.33 liter bottle) will be around 100.00 ฿. Nightclubs, and higher end venues can be a lot more and supermarkets / mini markets will be a bit cheaper. Check out the 'Happy Hour' signs as you walk or drive by. Most bars will have them. I have known people on Phuket island island who only track these events and save a load of money. Everyone to his/her/their own right :)
