Phuket Airport Information

Phuket International Airport (HKT) is located in Mai Khao, approx. 30km north of Phuket City and 37km north of Patong Beach (the island main tourism hub). The airport can be accessed by various transport options, including:

  • Car Hire: Receive mates’ rates when you choose
    from a great choice of hire cars from our car partners.
  • Taxi: A taxi stand is located just outside, to
    the right of the main airport building. Taxis are red and yellow,
    and are equipped with meters. To avoid haggling for a price, insist
    the driver turns the meter on. Average fares from the airport are:
    Phuket 400 baht, Patong 550 baht, and Kata/Karon 650 baht – per car.
  • Minivans: Shared minivan shuttles usually offer
    a cheaper alternative than taxis, but generally take longer to reach
    their destination. Minivans can be ordered from counters located on
    the ground floor. Average fares from the airport are: Phuket 100
    baht, Patong 150 baht, and Kata/Karon 180 baht – per person.
  • Buses: An hourly bus service runs between
    Phuket Town and the airport, between 6:30am and 9:30pm. Tickets cost
    approx. 70 baht and can be bought from a counter on the ground floor
    at the airport. Buses disembark and arrive into the airport’s
    parking lot and are grey-red and black and marked ‘Airport Bus’.

Flying to Koh Samui from Phuket:

One way trip to Krabi from Singapore:
