He will join Equilibrium Capital in Singapore after stints in Kazakhstan and Mexico, and will work on the company’s greenhouse projects around the region.

Controlled environment agriculture mitigates risks from heat, drought, short growing seasons, depleted soils, and insect infestations, uses 90 per cent less water and can be 30 times more productive than outdoor fields, according to data from Equilibrium.

Dol teams up with John Baker, Equilibrium’s principal and strategy lead for Asia, who joined the company as its first Singapore-based employee last year.

A published authory, Dol penned the book, The Semi-Closed Glasshouse, earlier this year.
