Envision Digital has hired Accenture sustainability executive Ynse de Boer as the green tech, artificial intelligence and internet-of-things company looks to expand its presence in Asia Pacific.

De Boer joins as smart city and decarbonisation international lead after more than 17 years at Accenture, where he built and led the professional service firm’s strategy and sustainability practices, first in Asia Pacific, then in Europe.

Based in Singapore, he will lead the development and deployment of Envision Digital’s smart City, smart spaces and corporate decarbonisation programmes.

Envision Digital technology optimises assets in the energy, building and manufacturing sectors with solutions for solar and wind electricity generation, smart battery charging, heating ventilation and air-conditioning, and predictive maintenance.

De Boer is one of nine hires Envision Digital announced on Wednesday (29 June).

Envision Digital International’s president Sylvie Ouziel said the newly hired executives share the company’s vision of a “decarbonised and efficient world which reconciles performance and sustainability.”

Over a long spell with Accenture, De Boer worked in five different roles, latterly based in Amsterdam where he led the sustainability unit for France, Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands.

During his previous stint in Singapore, he was chairman of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and a member of the board of governors for the European Chamber of Commerce.
