Two women, who were on board the speed boat from which TV actress Nida Patcharaveerapong, aka “Tangmo”, fell into the Chao Phraya River and drowned, reported today (Sunday) to Nonthaburi’s Muang district police for questioning.

Nida’s manager, Itsirin Chuthasuksawat, told the media, after being questioned, that the boat trip was for leisure and sightseeing and there were six people on board, including Nida.

She said they had dinner at a riverside restaurant at about 8pm and then boarded the boat.

She said the accident occurred at about 10.30pm, adding that she didn’t see it but heard another friend shout that Nida had fallen into the river. The boat’s owner, Tanupat Lerttaweewit, took the helm and headed back to where Nida was believed to have fallen in.

The other woman, Nisapat Manomairat, told the media that she was busy using her cell phone at the rear of the boat, adding that Nida then came to the rear to urinate, while holding Nisapat’s legs. Then, she fell into the water.

She said that it happened very quickly and she shouted for help.

So far, eight witnesses have been questioned by the police, including the five of the people on the boat. Arrest warrants have been issued for two people, Tanupat and the person allegedly at the helm of the boat at the time Nida fell off, Phaiboon Trikanjaananun.
