We are killing all nature and wildlife

Be it for selling in the pet or meat trade, killing for ridicules stone age minded health benefits, deforestation, or use in hard labour, the exploitation of animals in the world, has a long, long history.

It’s not just the big named wildlife that are being effected. What about Insects? More than 40% of insect species are declining and a third are endangered, the analysis found. The rate of extinction is eight times faster than that of mammals, birds and reptiles. The total mass of insects is falling by a precipitous 2.5% a year, according to the best data available, suggesting they could vanish within a century. BIG problem for future generations – Meaning your great grand kids!

* The total number of humans currently living on the planet was estimated to have reached 7,800,000,000 people as of March 2020. It took over 2 million years of human history for the world’s population to reach 1 billion, and only 200 years more to reach 7 billion.
* Life expectancy – Improving health and medicine leads to falling mortality and is therefore the factor that increases the size of the population. Life expectancy, which measures the age of death, has doubled in every region in the world.

What does this mean? Well more people wanting more food, costumer goods and medicines, which adds to the extinction of wildlife and insects as we know it! BIG problem!

How to solve it?

Well, Mother nature will sort some of this out, like with the current Coronavirus and other viruses to come, but in around 50 years time, or before, if we do not stop pillaging our home (Earth) there will be NO turning back, and NO future. The tipping point is now!

The harsh reality is we, as a species, are to blame and without hard world laws put in place now, meaning the death penalty and all assets retrieved from that family kind of laws, the exploitation of animals, forests and fisheries will carry on if there’s money to be made. This will not stop the population increasing but it’s a start to help re-populate the wildlife and insects that we depend on to live. Without them there is NO human race!

One major cause of deforestation is ‘Palm oil’. Indonesia is the largest producer of palm oil, followed by Malaysia and Thailand, including the island of Phuket, but recently there has been an increase in palm oil production in South America via Colombia, Ecuador and Guatemala. Palm oil is found in up to half of packaged products in supermarkets, including 71% of food products and 24% of other consumer goods, and leaves the orangutan and thousands of other species without a home or dead. These products include: Bread, Crisps, Soap, Ice Cream, Shampoo, Chocolate ( Yes Chocolate 🙁 ), Biscuits, Make Up, Non-dairy substitutes, Cooking Oil, Margarine and Cleaning detergents. To stop demand read the label before you buy. If it contains ‘Palm Oil’ do not buy it! Simple. Saying this. In the EU palm oil labelling laws do not extend to non-food items, which is mad! Unfortunately, palm oil can be disguised behind thousands of misleading names so be aware.

Also since 1978 over 750,000 square kilometers (289,000 square miles) of Amazon rain forest have been destroyed across Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Venezuela, Suriname, Guyana, and French Guiana to give way for farmers and livestock, and also for timber for fuel, construction and manufacturing. The International meat and soy animal feed companies, like JBS and Cargill, and the global brands like Stop & Shop, Costco, McDonald’s, Walmart / Asda, and Sysco buy from them and sell to the public, meaning you. It is these companies that are creating the international demand that finances the deforestation. No demand – no deforestation. Once again, if any of the meat you buy, or eat in any fast food outlets, including even corned beef, is from the Amazon rain forest area do NOT buy it!

Bottom line.

The more deforestation we do the less time the wildlife, insects, and human race, will have! To start, as a world, we need to change our dependence’s on consumer goods that use ANY type of plant, tree or animal base that causes the deforestation and insect decline in the 1st place, and then replace it with a eco friendly ingredient. Then we must re-plant, re-plant and do more re-planting. Sounds simply but if you look at the top image a large part of the human race is still stuck in the stone age, and still being corupted (Paid) by and big corporations and land owner to do their durty work.

Its my belief that all Countries in the world, or major powers, should pull together and actually pay all Amazon rain forest landowners who allow deforestation, to stop burning the forests for cattle and farming for export and pay them instead to re-plant the lost trees. Unfortunately $ is key, but would the worlds population rather payout $1 from their wage packet each month knowing that their great-grand children’s future will be secure?

Saying the above it all goes back to there’s to many humans on this planet all wanting more. It’s not just the Amazon deforestation and Palm plantations that are totally to blame. It’s the human race in general, and all world deforestation. In the last 50 years Countries like the UK or the USA, but including all major Countires, are also to blame. Since 1970, 50% of all insects may have disappeared. This has happened because farmers were using pesticides to protect crops from insects, which is turn killed off the food sourse for bird and other animals that live on them. Besides this insects also lost their habitats to farming, the growing urbanization and land clearring for houses.

Stopping the world deforestation now is the key, and then re-planting and replacing the lost habitat, very, very quickly so the insects and native wildlife can repopulate.

For your small part even buying native tree seeds and panting in your garden, along the roadside, farm hedges, paths, river banks and empty grassland will help. There’s nothing stoping you doing it right now, is there?

To be blunt. The world knows what’s happening but chooses turn a blind eye, to look away and pretend everything will be OK, but in truth these same people, who say they love their children or grand children, will in fact be the ones who leave them a legacy of hurt and pain, even death.

We can not do much about the massive population increase over the last 200 years or the industrial revolution in the 1800 and beyond, but if EVERY Country in the world started working together ‘right now’ on a few simple lifestyle changes and stopped the greed and corruption, the deforestation, and also started planting A LOT more trees, your great-grand children may, just may have a future. Tick Tock!
