Thailand recorded 14,109 new COVID-19 cases and 122 more deaths today (Saturday), as 13,280 patients recover, according to the CCSA.

The new infections have brought total infections, since April 1st this year, to 1,434,038. Cumulative recoveries are 1,290,101 and the total death toll is 15,152.

Of today’s fatalities, 70 are men and the rest women. They include 118 Thais and 4 Myanmar migrant workers. The average age of those who died was 68, with the youngest being 34 and the oldest 91.

23 deaths were recorded in Bangkok, followed by 7 each in Tak and Nakhon Pathom, 6 each in Nonthaburi, Narathiwat and Chon Buri, 5 each in Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani and Saraburi, 4 each in Yala and Ayutthaya, 3 each in Samut Sakhon, Phitsanuloke, Ranong, Kanchanaburi and Nakhon Nayok, 2 each in Nakhon Ratchasima, Uttaradit, Songkhla, Samut Songkhram, Lop Buri, Prachin Buri, Rayong and Chachoengsao and 1 each in Nong Khai, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Sakhon Nakhon, Lampang, Nakhon Sawan, Trang, Surat Thani, Pattani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ratchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan and Suphan Buri.

The provinces with the highest infection rates today are Bangkok (2,843), Samut Prakan (1,018), Chon Buri (848),Yala (477), Narathiwat (476), Rayong (414), Nonthaburi (399), Prachin Buri (385), Ratchaburi (378) and Songkhla (370).

130,128 patients are still being treated, including 45,271 in general hospitals and 84,857 in field hospitals. 3,701 are severe cases, including 760 who are on ventilators.

43.8 million doses of vaccines have, so far, been administered. These include 28.6 million first doses, 14.6 million second doses and 620,425 third booster shots.
