Philippine Vice President apologises for happy photo at Holocaust memorial
VICE PRESIDENT of the Philippines Leni Robredo has apologised for a photo posted to social media depicting her and other Filipino lawmakers posing happily at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin, Germany. “While there was no malice in it, I take full responsibility, so I would like to apologise for whatever offence to the sensitivities of the people it caused,” said Robredo as quoted by the Philippine Star newspaper, after receiving widespread criticism online.
