First Blood Moon of the year visible on the night of Jan 31
The first total lunar eclipse of 2018 which is also known as Blood Moon will be visible in Thailand on Jan 31, according to the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (Narit). Saran Poshyachinda, Narit director said that the galactical phenomenon could be visible with plain eyes and he urged Thai people who are interested to watch the event on the night of Jan 31. The blood moon will also be visible in northern America, Australia, Asia, northern and eastern parts of Europe, northern and eastern Africa and northern and eastern South America. Mr Saran said the phenomenon would start at 5.51 pm when the moon will pass under the Earth’s shadow.
