
Duterte orders destruction of Lamborghini, luxury cars in anti-graft sweep
A LAMBORGHINI supercar was among dozens of luxury vehicles worth millions destroyed by a bulldozer on Monday, amid Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte’s stern crackdown on corruption. The president watched on as a bulldozer crushed 76 smuggled cars and motorbikes, including models by Mercedes-Benz, Porche and Harley-Davidson worth US$5.5 million, according to the CNN. The government, in a statement, said the vehicles were part of a haul of 800 that were imported into the Southeast Asian country through illegal means.
